Only some trusted and reliable constructor can be an ideal for that. We used to hire experts from Fittra, one of the best building refurbishment companies. We have purchased two homes and had a really great experience with that team. Would highly recommend to people looking to build their dream home. Working with Fittra was amazing , from the moment we met, choosing the right house plan to scheduling and delivering the materials on the site.

(25th Jul 21 at 11:51am UTC) | | Find a competent trade consultant who can design, draw, deal with the municipality re: codes, and deal with trades. Pay that person X dollars and get the project completed. There are so many items and ways that a person can get trapped and taken during a renovation. You could also [if time permits] do one or two items at a time, [providing that work completed does not have to be redone or altered for the next job] for instance the chimney - get three estimates, look at the background and pick the one that has the best reputation, AND do not pay more than 10% down, and the balance when the job is complete and inspected. There are exceptions to this rule but be careful . ALSO if you have or want to spend say 70K then budget for 60K because you will spend 80K. [in other words add 20% to the initial estimate for a renovation and if you do not spend consider yourself one of the few lucky ones]
