While the bracelet is the highlight here, its main purpose is of course to hold the attractive Golden Ellipse case in place. The case is identical to the leather-strap Golden Ellipse 5738R already in the catalog, which is to say that it measures 34.5mm east-west, 39.5mm north-south and is just 5.9mm thick. The ultra-flat profile pairs perfectly with the flat, curved bracelet, and there are no lugs to interrupt the seamless connection. Unlike the complex bracelet, the dial is as simple as ever. Rose gold, at least in my opinion, is a bit boring, trendy, or contrived, but I’ll never tire of traditional yellow gold.
